The Jerome Grand Hotel Has Been Closed By The Town Of Jerome

We resolved all but a few issues with the Jerome Fire Dept. and Building Dept. In our attempt to have these disagreements heard we have been silenced, criminally charged, and now formally shut down. No-one in the Town will let us or our Attorney present our side and finally When we did have a meeting scheduled for December 15th, 2010 Town officials made a decision to close us down on December 8th, 2010.

They have "deemed the building unsafe" but the truth is the Jerome Grand Hotel is one of the safest buildings in Jerome. Built virtually fire proof in 1926, in 1995 fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems were installed and both the Town and State approved the Hotel to open in 1996.

The Jerome Grand Hotel has no choice but to have our issues heard in the Court. Our Attorney will be filing for an injunction in an effort to minimize our losses. Our family run business has operated for 14 years and we are saddened that the Town has chosen to take action in this manor. It is our plan to pay all employees through Christmas so they will not suffer during this holiday season.

The Asylum Restaurant located at the Hotel will remain open.
